Lynda Hinkle - WHOA Past President

When I founded WHOA several years ago, the need for such an organization was grave. Since then, thousands of people have benefited from the information on our site, and I am truly glad to have had a hand in helping so many. As we approach the coming millennium, WHOA will have many opportunities to grow and expand, to provide help and direction to people online.

Unfortunately, I find that my own directions in life are changing as well, and as such I am passing the torch to Jayne Hitchcock and Katherine Griffis, whose dedication to this cause has always been a source of inspiration to me and to many others.

As WHOA makes its transition into the new millennium, I hope that we will all remember how far we've come...but also how far we have to go...to make the internet a safe but free environment for everyone. The Internet is truly the Commons of the modern Global Village. I challenge every user to work toward making this community all of the wonderful, positive things that it can be.
