I am a 46 year old mother of 2 lovely daughters and 1 adorable grand-daughter.

I was born and raised in Oklahoma, the youngest of 6 girls, never leaving until 2 1/2 years ago when we moved to the Philippines. I retired early, after 25 years as an operating room nurse, so that I could be available for my husband who has COPD, and the only way we could afford for me to quit my job was for us to move to his home country, the Philippines.

I am still adjusting to the culture shock and I miss Wal Mart and Taco Bell. What I miss most are my daughter and grand daughter who live in Oklahoma. I am also very close to my sisters, who are sprinkled all over the U.S. Thank goodness for the internet!!

Since moving here I have found that I have a lot of free time on my hands and one day while doing some research, I ran across the WHOA website, and having been a victim of online abuse myself, I was extremely interested in being able to help others (that IS my lifelong calling).

We have a 13 year old daughter who plays soccer, so I do get to play soccer mom. We also have a new puppy, a mini-pin, who keeps me very busy! I enjoy cooking, which I do alot of since moving here, and have found myself feeling much like "Little House on the Prarie" with no convenience foods or running hot water. I also spend alot of time connecting with family and friends on the internet. Internet cafe's are very common here since a majority of households here do not have computers, and I am looking forward to getting some information in all of them about internet safety.
