Stray puppy walks into police station with £500 in cash http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_754147.html?menu=news.quirkies
A stray puppy walked into a police station in Mumbai carrying £500 cash in a black plastic bag.
The five-month-old bitch took the money straight to an officer who regularly feeds her leftovers and scraps from his lunch.
Assistant police commissioner N K Hiremath could not believe his eyes when he opened the bag and notes spilled out onto the table.
Inquiries at the police station revealed that a wine merchant had reported a missing money bag at around the same time.
"The money bag was lost on the way home after closing the wine store," said wine trader Sudhir Miskin.
The mongrel, affectionately called Chingi by officers at the police station compound where she was born, was given a meal of meat and rice as a reward.
